Hello, I just wrapped up my second high school cross country season running a 17:39 5k. I was making a schedule for my base training plan and was looking for some thoughts on it.
I ran a 2:20 800m and a 5:20 mile, but I was injured for over a month and had trouble getting in good shape. Here it is
M- 4 easy. Drills
T- 6-8 easy core/pylometrics
W- 4 tempo. Drills
Th- 6-8 easy
F- 1 mi warmup 8-10 hill sprints
S- 4-6 easy
Su- 10+ long run
As the training progresses, I will throw in some interval work as well.
Any suggestions? Ideas? Corrections?
