I am sick and tired of going to the bars on weekend nights and during NFL games. After a while it seems pointless. It's the same people doing the same thing over and over and over again. But it comes at a cost. Let's say under normal circumstances I go to a bar and spend $50 once per week. I buy a few drinks, I buy someone else a drink or two and then I leave a tip. During the NFL seasons I have Sunday Fundays. Throwing in the holiday season when everyeone is home, let's just say I go out to the bar 70 times per year.
$50 x 70 = $3500.00
I'm thinking of doing this differently as we approach 2015. I am going to go liquor shopping soon and I am going to buy $300 worth of bottles that I really enjoy and spend an extra hundred on beer and put it away my storage closet. I bet my $400 carries me all the way through next July or August and only leaves me with cheap mixers as the after cost.
Good plan or no? I figure I'll just invite good friends over on the weekends and holidays and brush up on my bartender skills. I actually have a bar at my place.
