Hey I'm a first time poster, so I'm sorry if this is something that is frequently posted/trite.
My little brother (JR) has been running 15:00-15:15 all XC season, including some challenging courses. He was hurt all last year for track, so that presented some challenges in terms of getting times out to coaches.
I barely broke 16:00 in high school, did not go through any sort of recruiting process, and I ended up going to Stanford with full fin-aid+ROTC, but running was (obviously) completely out of the question.
We don't have a lot of money, and our parents aren't really in the equation, but he's a pretty smart guy (35 ACT, decent, although not ivy-caliber grades in tough classes at a great HS). I was curious if he would be in the running to get himself either a top tier school (diii or ivy that could give great aid) or a running scholarship anywhere?
Thanks, all.
