I've designed and managed dozens of web properties. Most of which have had > 1M monthly unique visitors.
I come to lrc frequently because I'm a running enthusiast.
I find it maddening that lrc doesn't have the most basic navigation and information architecture (here's a decent article on the topic:

).
For example, I'm particularly interested in college XC. I have to scroll and scan the home page to find what I'm looking for. And it changes every day.
Please fix this. It's really, truly not hard. You will get more repeat visits, lower bounce rates and more time spent on your site. That means more pageviews for advertising. You will make more $.
I'd also rip and replace the message boards with a modern BBS. But that's another rant.
