How are you even old enough to drive?
Yes.
Why don't you just mail it to your bank?
Or, you could deposit the check via ATM.

Do you live somewhere that has no branches for your bank?
Send the check to her and have her sign it and deposit it for you. There's no squirrels on a farm somewhere checking signatures for the bank.
Call your bank. Have them send you a deposit slip-perhaps you have one already-it's in the back of your checkbook-it's generally those white forms behind the checks. Endorse the check, with the notation "For Deposit only in Payee Account XXXYYY" Where XXXYYY is your account number. Fill out the form. Put in an envelope. Buy a stamp. Mail it to your bank. In a week or so, check to see that it was deposited.
Leave your Mama alone. She's waited decades to get you out from underfoot, and is busy playing bridge.
Don't just sign the check. Be sure to use a restrictive endorsement of some sort (not that I believe a bank would cash a check for a shady character if he got a hold of a large signed check not made out to him, but better to be safe).
I assume this will be going into your account. Writing "for deposit only" on the back and signing below that should do the trick.
Well that's not my account number.
A kid from my side of town joined the Army and sent money home every time he got paid. Came home after four years and the mother drank all of his money away. Total alcoholic. He never spoke to her again. She joined AA.
