Everyone I go to seems baffled by my injury and I was wondering if anyone on here has gone through something similar or can help me. Last week my legs started to become very sore. Both legs were sore from quads to bottom of calves. So sore that I could hardly move at the beginning of runs but I still did full mileage. I am a college runner and I run 48 miles a week, which is actually less than what I did in high school. I tried everything to get rid of the soreness. I tried rolling it out with a foam roller, I tried ice baths, I tried elevating it at night and I tried some new stretches. Nothing worked. A few days ago I had to stop in the middle of a run and walk back because my right calf hurt so bad. It feels like someone is punching the middle of my calf. It doesn't hurt when I'm sitting down, but it does hurt whenever I put pressure on it. It is especially bad when I go up and down stairs. My doctor told me to take time off but he could not come up with a diagnosis. I would greatly appreciate any advice and a possible diagnosis.
