I'm running CIM for the first time this year. I'm not very good at downhill running but it looks like the downhill at CIM is very gradual. Is it so gradual that I should be okay for 26 miles without any specific downhill training, or should I try to find a course to try to mimic the grade for some hard long runs? Where I live there's a lot of rolling hills but it's hard to find any really long hills.
Also, generally speaking, any tips on running downhills fast without getting too sore? I'm worried about CIM because I've never run Boston well because my quads are always so sore by 22 miles that I can barely move.
