Shawn, based on your Adidas Boost comments, and related comments regarding your running in this season of your life, I think you ought to try the HOKA Bondi. I just tried on both a Boost Energy and the HOKA. I think the latter is giving even more of that 'bouncy cushy ride' you seem to be raving about. Your thoughts?
Yes, I am interested in the Hoka shoes and have posted about them previously. Since the Boost shoes are working so well for me and have a more traditional style and midsole thickness, I don't think I'm going to fork out more than a hundred dollars for Hokas right now. I do think they would be great pavement shoes, but the super-thick midsole is kind of a turn-off, especially if I were running on a soft, bumpy surface . . .
Another poster ridiculed me for having bought my Saucony Cohesion 6 (less than 30 bucks for those) when I said that they just weren't working for me. But as I pointed out, those cheap Saucony shoes are STILL far superior to the old Nike Waffle Trainer, Brooks Vantage, early New Balance models and other "old school" shoes that some of were wearing back in the 70s.
Of all the shoes I've run in over the years, the Adidas Boost are my favorites at this time. I've never been brand loyal, but Adidas has really been innovative with Boost.
