Yesterday, I was running a ladder workout (400, 800, 1200, 1200, 800, 400) with with the rest of my cross country team. Throughout the workout, people were blocking the track, and seemed utterly clueless. The worst among them were the JROTC members. During the second 1200, the number two runner and I were running together when we saw a group of 4-6 JROTC people standing in lanes one and two. I did what I usually do, calling out "Lane one!", but they didn't move. I then yelled "Get off the track!", again yielding no result. I thought that they might not have heard me, so I yelled "That means you! Get off the track!", this time they definitely heard me, but they just glared at me and stayed on the track. At this point our number two runner grabbed one of the JROTC members and threw him into his comrades, pushing them all off of the track. Is this what we should have done?
