potentially moving there... what's the running scene?
are the OSU tracks open to the public?
any places nearby to do long runs off pavement?
how bad/long are the summers?
thanks for any info.

no Cowboys on the board?
I have a good friend who went there for college (joe gray) and he said its actually a sweet place to train, like a diamond in the rough. I visited once and I thought it was pretty hot in the summer, but I'am from Washington so the temperature is quite a change for me. I found it to be very hilly also.
It runs deep.
Guns and Gays.
I'm a Cowboy. Soft surface runs - absolutely excellent dirt roads about 2 miles away from the track. The XC course is across the street from the track, about 5 miles worth to run on grass and wood chips. Also, there's a nearby lake with a dirt trail around it.
The OSU track isn't open to the public, sorry. There is a high school next door though.
The summers are HOT. Usually around 100-105 for most of July and August. Starts to be absolutely beautiful in September and October though.
Just run early in the morning. Like starting at 6:30 early.

my better half and i are going out there for a visit sometime late in the year - look forward to checking it out - if we move, it will likely be over the holidays so we can both get started with the new semester
