I have heard lots of stories about yoga being beneficial for running? Is it true? or just bs?

I think there is no easy answer here.
One argument for yoga helping is increasing flexibility, range of motion and perhaps reducing risk of injury.
However, I doubt there is a ton of solid evidence that it helps or that it would hurt--assuming that one does not injure oneself doing it.
There are probably tons of stories on each side.
Maybe try it while keeping everything else constant to see if you notice any measurable changes.
too much flexibility == over-extend muscles during running == injury.
Once or twice a week wont hurt. Especially for older master's runners I think it would be a good practice.
