So I joined x-country at my school and my parents are forcing me to quit.
When school started they were encouraging me to join clubs so I thought they would be happy when I joined cross-country. They weren\\\\\\\'t. Instead, they started giving me a lecture about how this wasn\\\\\\\'t the type of club they wanted me to do, how I should join chess club, math club, and a million other clubs I have absolutely no interest in.
They are always like this, forcing me to do things I don\\\\\\\'t like and it\\\\\\\'s frustrating as hell. I\\\\\\\'m already in band and jazz band, took summer school for extra credits, and get good grades. Plus, I\\\\\\\'m taking four lessons that they forced me to take. What else do they expect??
It wouldn\\\\\\\'t be much of a problem except they are refusing to drive me to practice. I can\\\\\\\'t walk because they\\\\\\\'d find out if I did. Also, I don\\\\\\\'t know if they\\\\\\\'ll let me run anymore because school started. I haven\\\\\\\'t asked them if I\\\\\\\'m allowed to run because I just had PTT.
How do I tell them that I\\\\\\\'m old enough to choose what I want to do? And how do I convince them to let me run and go to cross-country?
