Vegans need not respond. I already know where you stand on the issue.
At this point, the only dairy that I consume now is 1 cup of Fage greek yogurt and then maybe some random cheese that might get thrown on my plate at restaurant meals.

Sure, why not?
The fastest 800m runner in history ( history as in actual history, not just the last few years)comes from generations of milk drinkers.
I pay like $2.00 and I get 8 pounds of carbs/fat/protein that tastes amazing. Of course I drink it you moron.

My ancestors developed and passed on an advantageous genetic mutation that allows me digest lactose as an adult. Therefore I'm lucky enough to consume dairy products. If yours did also, then why not?

Well, some of my ancestors did and some of them didn't.
How do you determine if you produce the lactase enzyme. Is it pretty obvious like explosive bloody diarrhea or do I have to be tested for this?

The genetic mutation may have been advantageous in that environment when milk was the main available food source but that may not mean that milk is an optimal food source when other options are available. The gene was termed the lactose "tolerance" gene after all.
There IS a medical test, but if you get gas/diarrhea/feel sick after eating dairy, it's pretty much a no-brainer.

Exactly. You can tolerate any junk food, that doesn't make it healthy.
If people weren't supposed to drink milk God wouldn't have made women with boobs.
I've cut way back on dairy because I'm getting lactose intolerant as I age. I still have cheese and yogurt but don't drink milk anymore and I've switched to tea.

I'm sorry to have to be the one to inform you that producing milk is only the second most important function of a boob.

That's why I only date women who have recently given birth. Extra big and fun to watch them bounce around, plus I save on the grocery bill.

This, sort of. As usual, different things work for different people.
Calcium is key in muscular contraction. Runners perform a lot of muscular contractions. Dairy, if you can process it, is an excellent source of calcium.
I do recognize and appreciate that only one or two veg-types have weighed in. (The OP was pretty specific on that point, after all.) Your reticence on this thread has boosted your group a bit in my estimation.
OP, that's "teats."

Driving the bra market isn't really a natural function.
Dairy products are an excellent source of protein and calcium and are fairly economical as well. If you can digest them and enjoy them, consume them! I eat at least two cups of greek yogurt a day (great for protein and low in fat) and don't get me started on the deliciousness of cheese.
Only if you are prepared to get the directly from the source (i.e. mouth to cow/goat teat). Why don't cows drink human milk?

Ummm...I can give you some links to some websites if you're really interested.
