Former Olympian disses letsrun, by saying they come to their level. Ouch.

Sounds like an honest assessment instead of a diss.
Josh who? Who cares?
Why is he wasting his time worrying about Let's Run posters? Is he bored? Stupid? All of the above?
Sounds like the dude is all butthurt. He was an avid reader-only of the forums. He seems afraid to admit he posted here and came down to his own level.

Why are you wasting your time posting about something that you obviously didn't read and therefore know nothing about?
I don't even know what that means but the question is more of criticism than his answer. You make it seem as if the article is about that, whereas in fact it is just about how he was able to make it to a very high level from meager beginnings.
This.

As a Utah mormon guy, Josh is something of a Hero to me. All hate aside, isn't it pretty neat what they are able to do at BYU?

The full context of the question referred to the old, dragged out debate of whether BYU (Mormon) runners have an advantage by taking off 2 years for an LDS/Mormon mission, and how it is continually brought up on Letsrun when a BYU runner has success. So my answer in in regards to that was eventually runners come to their level after time. It was not a diss on posters showing their level, etc. I just received the email that the article was up, and was told that already some Letsrun posts were being thrown up. Of course I had to see for myself. So thanks everyone for ruining my wonderful streak of not visiting the message boards for like 4 months. Now I'll have to start re-hab again. ;) I do frequent the main page though.
1) One is never a "former" Olympian.
2) The folks at the site have worse grammar than the folks here. Should be "affect" not "effect" for instance.
3) This is the diss? Josh: I’ve read the forums, everyone comes to their level. Reading that stuff is just entertaining. I didn’t think about it a lot. I raced knowing that I represented myself, my family, and the university. That’s a reflection of who we are.
Anybody that disses letsrun is aok. We should see more of that.
i wholeheartedly approve of the previous three posts.
"...everyone comes to their level."
What does that even mean??
Great education there at KYU.
What about what's-his-face guy who was in the world relays and runs 3:3x... has he ever owned up to getting his start as the downhill sub-4 miler? He owes it all to this forum.
"Reading that stuff is just entertaining." How is that a diss? That's a complement. I really do think of myself as an entertainer on here first and foremost.

The guy who did the interview was supposedly the valedictorian of his high-school class. Where did he go to school, LRCHS?
The only thuth here Is that Olympians/pro runners read letsrun forums.
Means that everyones true colors come out when they have a screen name to hide behind. Josh is obviously doing well with his BYU (not KYU) education. It allowed him to get into optometry school apparently.

Former Olympians have a life. Only current looooosers are regular post'rs on LR
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
