Looking for advice for anybody that's had to stop running for several months. I have had to stop running since the beginning of April and am now trying to get back into running with hopes of racing some 5k's in late fall/winter but I am not sure what type of base training I should be looking for. I gained a good bit of weight that I need to lose and I feel like I am starting over. But I really need to have some racing goals to look forward to and I think I need some type of structure to get there.
Any thoughts?
