If this had been a championship year, Mo wouldn't have run a marathon and Jeilan would be running track. Rupp would still have had a legit shot, but he wouldn't have been the favorite if either/both of Mo and Jeilan were healthy and fit.

Mo would defeat Rupp in a 10,000m this week if they contested it. Rupp cannot get away from Mo and he cannot outkick him.

Doubtful. Farah hasn't displayed any indication that he is in endurance shape in over a year. Maybe longer than that. These fast finishes just reinforce this.
Galen is a time trialist. Not a racer. He'd get outkicked by someone.
Ummm... Olympics 2012 silver medal.

OK, so a man who has run a 2:08 marathon and 8:07 2 mile has not "displayed any indication that he is in endurance shape..."
This is a good enough combination to defeat Galen Rupp in a championship non-rabbited 10,000m.
I might add that nobody has ever run a 2:08 marathon and an 8:07 2 mile in the same year.
Until Mo Farah did it in 2014...
But there wasn't - end of story. Why do so many mentally challenged people want to create scenarios for things that do not exist. There was NO World championship for 10k this year. Mo won at Euros and would likely have won at Commonwealths (but he didn't run so it too is irrelevant).
Rupp will have the fastest (AR) 10000m time this year, good for him. The event is becoming rarer on the Grand Prix circuit and becoming marginalized when guys like Mo Farah can win both it and the 5000m. Winning both the 1500m and 5000m (as El G did in 2004), is a tougher task, as is the 800/1500m (not done recently) combination or 400/800m (only Juantorena in the past 40 years or more).

Thank you, exactly. 2:08 is a mile behind the top marathoners. 8:07 is several seconds slower than Craig Mottram. Farah is not in endurance shape. Farah hasn't been in endurance shape since 2011/2012.

IF you think that Rupp has been in shape to run faster than 2:08 or 8:07 at any time this year, you must be one of his fanboys...

Yes, I can't imagine Rupp running faster than 8:07 for 2 miles this year. That surely has not and could not have happened.

Mo Farah out, it's way too long for guys like Ndiku, and pretty much every other challenger in recent years is MIA.
Nice of you to make a post about something you CANNOT be wrong about. Well done.
Thanks for the down to earth, non biased opinion. I agree.

Rupp ran 8:07.41 indoors this year. Also 26:44.
Mo died in the marathon. He's been 13:2X? And 8:07. Maybe Mo should stick to the 1500-3000?

Rupp ran 8:07 indoors. So what? It means NOTHING in a championship 10,000m against Farah, who OWNS him.

I'm sure Mo is in excellent 10K shape, especially championship 10000 shape and would be extremely tough to beat. But you did pose the part about Rupp not being in shape to run better than 8:07 this year. In fact I recall Rupp going through around 5:00 and 6:01 or 6:02 when he ran 8:07. He was going for 8:04 and went too hard in the middle of the race so it's VERY reasonable to say he was in shape to run faster than 8:07 then, and probably is right now.

How do you figure? The point, moron, is that they have the same two mile mark this year, Rupp has actually run quickly over 10k this year, and Mo's marathon is no indication of anything special. He has raced no one this season. He won a no-name 5k in Eugene and a two-mile in England? He looked like sh¡t at the end of his Euro 10k; a blistering 28:08 lol.

exactly he got outkicked by someone, showing that even in the best race of his life he can't win in a championship race.
