I sold a car to a 15 year old kid over a month ago. I drove to his parents\\\' house, he paid cash (I gave him a great deal), parents weren\\\'t present but I thought nothing of it. I signed over the title, he didn\\\'t fill it out, and we didn\\\'t make a bill of sale.
3 weeks later his dad called all pissed and said I have to take the car back because his kid didn\\\'t have permission to buy it in the first place. I said no way and now he\\\'s threatening to go to small claims court.
If he does sue, will I lose? I google searched and learned about contract law and minors, and realize the law upholds their side. But:
1) There was no bill of sale.
2) Payment was made in cash.
They have nothing to back up their claim and it becomes my word against theirs.
