Hi I'm a 15 yr old girl who does cross country. On Sunday I began feeling pain in my sacral area and ran with it Monday and Tuesday. I took Wednesday off, went to the ortho yesterday and he said most likely a stress injury. He said it was probably a stress reaction bc we caught it very early and I don't have much pain going up and down stairs. I am getting an MRI next week. He told me I could cross train by biking, swimming, and pool running. I tried riding a stationary bike for an hour today but it hurt the area so I will probably not do it anymore. I'm wondering if anyone else has had experience with this injury and have questions on how long it took to recover, cross training, and any other info. Thanks!!
