Hi guys, reading through this forum trying to find people in a similar position but there arent any threads going.
Im almost 20, male and when I was younger used to do a bit of athletics. Was a county champion at sprint hurdles aged 13 and was a 1.6m high jumper until I was about 14.
Anyway, for the last year or so Ive been casually jogging, 5-15km a week, if that. I recently ran 2 miles in 12 minutes, 5k in 19.50 and did a 10km with very little training in 43.42, with a massive negative split. Im a light smoker, 3-6 a day and its something I plan on stopping.
Given the fact I run so little and my friends are saying that my times are really fast, is there potential in me to become a decent athlete?
