Will Mary Cain be faster as a high school junior than as a senior?
She ran faster last year in the 1500 and 3000/2-mile than this year right?

You are so insightful. I'm sure that she cried in her corn flakes this morning.

She has a new BF. She'll learn how to balance her personal and running lives, and she'll be a stronger person in the long run.
She ran 4:07.05 at altitude to win US indoor nationals which the brojos say converts to 4:01.67 at sea level, much faster than her 4:04.67 PR. She also just PRed in the 3k (8:58 vs junior year 9:02) to win gold at world juniors. So no, I don't think Mary Cain was faster as a high school junior than a senior.
Mary's 9:38 2-mile last year is faster than a 8:58 3000.
This is a dumb question. She had a better indoors than last year, and then for injury or school or whatever reason was a bit out of shape to start outdoors. She has her main races coming up now. She will without a doubt run faster than last year as it is clear she is now back in shape.
EFF your conversions. She ran what she ran. The rest is BS.We have already seen the best Cain has to offer.

fine, let's eff the conversions and stick to actuals. Her 800s are a bit slower than last year; her 3000m at junior worlds was about even with her 2M PR but run in a championship race she won rather than a paced race she didn't win; she hasn't run in a paced 1500m yet this outdoor season.
bottom line: she currently appears to be fully fit, it sounds like she's going to run a couple of paced DL 1500s in the next 4-6 wks - how about we revisit the question of how her 2014 compares to her 2013 in September when all the facts are in?
