Well I'm going to be a sophomore in high school and I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions.
So last year (as a freshman) in Cross I ran a PR of 19:39 (3 mile) at league finals. I was injured rather often.
This summer I've been training normally for about a month without any problems and the last tempo I ran was 2 weeks ago and I ran 20:47 which is my second fastest tempo ever (last season my fastest tempo was 20:30 but it was a week before League Finals.) So I think it's safe to say that I will be much faster than last year if I stay healthy.
So, can I run a sub 18:00 on the League Finals course of last year in early-mid October? The course is all flat and fast, but this won't be where league finals is taking place this year, it is a league meet though and it'll happen about 2-3 weeks before LF.
So is this a realistic goal? Btw this year is exciting for me because I am the 7th man (as of now) on an unbelievably strong Frosh-Soph team.
Thank you in advance.
