so my brother always comes up to me and says oh I have stronger thighs then you and as a runner I take that very offensively. So I was just wondering if people could give me so quick things that can give me thigh muscles fast without weights.

Hills, lunges, and body weight squats/jump squats are the first thing that come to mind.

Good suggestions. I would also add box step-ups, box jumps, box "toe taps." Also sled runs.

Box jumps are supposed to be more plyometric work and therefore more speed than strength, if you're using strength than you're doing it wrong. Box step-ups and sled runs are also very good.
Run up hills, and ignore all the other suggestions.
you can also add wall squats to the list
tell him he's a pu$sy and be prideful of your quick, light legs
Why are you willing to put in the work for bigger thighs but not willing to use weights? Every school has a squat rack to use. Get a coach or football player to teach you how to squat and get after it.
Mountain running. Look at the leg muscles on the top mountain runners. They are borderline disgusting.
Puny hills will also work.

P90X legs and back is a great workout....throw in about ripper and you'll be sore the next day...can do entire workout without weights but they would help
I do a lunge matrix consisting of: step-ups, single leg rdl, side lunges, 45 degree lunges and reverse lunges. I started slowly with one rep of each, and now I can do 10 reps of each holding dumbbells.

Step ups, squat jumps and both with weights.
Jump rope, jumping jacks. Biking.
look at those sick legs on those track and sprint cyclists. They can't even wear regular pants
If you aren't going to use weights then you aren't going to be a "strength builder." You will probably get good at doing a lunge but you won't increase much strength.
Why would you want huge strong thighs? Just to one-up your brother?
There are plenty of non-runners without strong thighs. Running does not equal strong thighs. Running does equal thighs with lots of endurance.
Anyway....lots of strong bodies have been made from just basic body weight exercises: Squats, pushups, pullups. Do 500 body weight squats and I bet you will have strong thighs..:)

Single leg squats plus high volume regular squats/lunges, glute ham raises plus towel leg curls throw in some sprinting adn jumping. /thread
Oh and add some single leg calf raises (bent legs and straigh legs).

This is outstanding, thank you. Genius idea to embed .gifs
