FWIW I'm in wave one, corral two
First, let's talk about the perfect world scenario:
- sleep as late as possible
- have some time in hotel to take care of "business"
- head over to the common and get on a bus
- ride bus to hopkinton
- hop off bus, take one trip through the porta-lines
- jog for a few minutes, do a few long strides
- enter start corral without having too much time to just stand there
I know that it's not going to be perfect. There are going to be 8k+ other runners trying to do this at the same time for wave one, not to mention the people from later waves.
Primary questions are:
1. What's the latest I can get to the common for bus loading and still be safe?
2. Is it reasonable to expect to be able to do any kind of warmup, or am I basically going to have to plan on standing around in the corral for a long time and starting cold? Is there anywhere for strides, or is it just going to be a mass of humanity shuffling from the athlete's village to the start corrals?
