I've always found the laugh track insult to the injury i was immediately victim to prior. Never understood why anyone likes this. Or two and half men.
Like Blue Bloods, Braveheart, Act of Valor, Top Gun, Game of Thrones, Hawaii Five-O, and so forth, BBT has an all gay cast and crew.
Why does this thread topic keep regenerating? It's just a tv show, go with the flow or turn the channel if it's killing you that badly.
You couldn't tell it was a pieceofshit show even with the laugh track on?
They usually have a live audience I thought.

Randy, for the love of god, go away.
So, I am curious as to what you consider to be a good comedy or show. Please enlighten us since you seem to know better.
I enjoy BBT very much. Nothing I read on a message board is going to change that, but thanks for voicing your opinion.
The problem with the BBT is this:
It makes jokes on just using big scientific words and "nerdy" language, and the average person watching goes :
"I don't know what this means, but it sounds really complicated so I should probably laugh. Ha."
"Two Broke Girls" is the worst show in the history of television. The jokes are so bad they have to turn the laugh track up really loud.
It makes "Big Bang Theory" look like "Seinfeld".

They do. They record the laughter and then edit it for replay during airing. If the live audience laughs that much they are a bunch of idiots.
I hate just about any comedy that has this 'canned laughter'.
I enjoyed the new Michael J Fox show but it didn't last. There was NO laugh tracks in it. The writers had to depend good jokes and the actor's talent to get laughs.
I have to admit that I enjoyed the show for the first couple of seasons, but I agree with others that there isn't any depth to it and, once the characters start to become irritating, it really doesn't have any redeeming qualities. The show has really gone off a cliff since the introduction of Amy and Bernadette. I haven't bothered to watch any of the new episodes lately.

Best comedy w/ laugh track = Seinfeld (in a class of its ow with or without regard to laugh track)
Best comedy w/o = Arrested Development (also very tongue-in-cheek/vanilla; hilarious nonetheless)
Disagree with Seinfeld.

Although luv2run was probably asking me, I concur, good examples.
Another good summary of the show:

The Big Bang Theory is not ment for the "average" person. It is ment for really smart socially awkward people who like to laugh at other really smart socially awkward people. The reason they are socially awkward is because they spent a lot of time watching shows like "Star Trek" (Sheldon, Leonard etc.)and not drinking and having sex (Penny). In my opinion the juxtaposition is very funny with or without a laugh track. The fact many people (even smart ones) may not realise is the show is based on REAL PEOPLE. Sheldon is based on Jack Whitesides Parsons a guy that basically started the Jet Propulsion Labratory (and also was a "Satanist")and Leonard was based on L. Ron Hubbard (the guy that started Scientology). Get on Google and read up some of the background and maybe the show will be more interesting.

Wrong. The Bing Bang Theory is ABSOLUTELY for the "average" person. The jokes are barely advanced enough that the average person feels smart if they "get" them, and that's why it's entertaining for a while. People well-versed in science groan or shake their head in disgust at every joke in the show.

The "jokes" may or may not be funny. The fact that Leonard is always attempting to have sex with a stunning woman that is way out of his league and he is not "cool". THAT is funny in my opinion. The show is not as funny as it once was because he is succeeding but it is still good.
