He has shown his weakness, and younger players no longer fear him.

I'll take that bet.
But he'll bang more bit/chez than you will.
May be true but I don't think it is a big deal since he is so high on the all time best lists if he never played again. I think we want people athletes to keep performing (or not, depending on whether you are a fan or not) but sometimes their time has come and gone, just like Webb.
he's getting paid something like $3m appearance fee for dubai this week
it looks like he took torrey pines as a warm-up, which is a bit disrespectful seeing as another win wouda broken all-time record for wins on 1 course, but if you are being paid $3m for a tourney, that's the one where you want to excel in...
Ever. Ever again.
He will not win one more major. Ever
Wrong. He feels no need to do well in some meaningless event that pays him $3M to arrive.
i hardly think so
you think he'd expect to be paid $3m & put in a 23rd place finish effort ???
Tiger Woods proves once and for all that L.A. SUCKS! Eugene, Oregon is the only Tracktown, USA.
You're a little late.
Those that think he treated Torrey as a meaningless warm uo for Dubai are high. Appearrence fee or not, all he cares about are PGA tour events and, above all, majors. He does not give a sh!t about the Dubai desert classic (although of course he'll try to play well and win).
He probably won't win another. But if that guy Mickelson can, maybe he can.

That's a good bet.
If he wins a major than you win.
Otherwise, you have to wait for Tiger to die to pay out.
And if either you or the OP dies before that, you have no payout.

He took over a month off. He's not trying to play his best in January.

Not trying to win?
Whaaat?
So when he went winless a few years ago and everyone and their brother said he was done how did those predictions turn out? I would love to win 5 times in a year on the PGA Tour, be number 1 in the world, make a fortune etc... If that's "washed up" I would like to be that. All the doubters look foolish now. Like I said he took over 1 month off. In golf that is forever. He's rusty and it shows. But finished? Hardly.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tiger won another major out of the blue, but he won't get Jack's record.
I love how they show the leader board and right before they go to the commercial, they skip from about the top 15 all the way to 85th so we know where Tiger is. All scores are always referenced to where Tiger Woods is. At this point of his career he doens't care and has nothing to worry about.
I believe he is 38 now and hasn't won a major in 5 years. If he never wins another one that means he stopped winning at 33. that seems pretty young for a golfer, especially one as talented as tiger was.

So, you are suggesting that the fact that he has not won a major in 5 years somehow makes it more likely that he will win one (or more) in the future?
