Kalamazoo Head XC just opened. Good luck taking on Hope & Calvin. Great school though.

He was hired to be a track and XC coach. Mizzou has gotten better in XC (although the SEC is weak in xc) but indoors they scored 2 points in distance on the mens side and 4 points on the womens side. I hope the expectation is more than that.
Kalamazoo is looking for a men's and women's cross country head coach.

Wonder if they would be willing to follow NCAA rules and would they contribute the bigger financial picture or be a drain. If they are a drain, no need to bring them in. They aren't even in our country.
Word on the street is that Dartmouth is looking to hire someone by the end of Spring Break.
They should go after John Hayes
Do you think they'll hire a new assistant for Dartmouth?

I believe they just promoted their assistant back in the fall, I would assume this job posting is the necessary formality.

http://www.gocatawbaindians.com/article.asp?articleID=5789I believe Simon Frazier University is in the NCAA D2 a former NAIA institution and the University of British Columbia is a current NAIA institution that has won XC and has a pretty solid program on both sides.
Saw a distance posting for Northwestern St. in LA.
They have a young female assistant from McNeese listed, maybe they want to make it official?
Not much of a distance program currently. I know its Southland and FCS, but does anyone have inside info about the program?

Another formality. For the size, it's a top-notch program for Sprints, Jumps, and Throws. Distance, not so much. Tough place to train, limited talent to recruit from locally.

Occasionally an AD might suggest he values an AC and hopes he'll be retained. On the other hand most new HC hires want to bring in their own AC for several reasons.
Soooooo Indoor Nationals is kinda the unofficial opening of the hiring/firing, behind the scenes maneuvering/networking, whispers about coaches moving on season. We all know that there were some behind closed door meetings at some of the hotels in Albuquerque and there were some verbal agreements made. The real question is who got drunk enough at one of the after hours coaches gatherings to spill the beans on something that will get the ball rolling?
There is a Big 10 distance job that will open up right after the end of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene. It won't be that big of a surprise.
I can't think of a big 10 distance job that may open. Any hints?
Michigan
McGuire "ain't" going nowhere. Not with EVERYONE returning from the NCAA Cross Country 4th place Finish and a very nice incoming group of recruits. Oh, and his 2013 returning Cross Country Team... all Michigan HS Athletes.
Gibby? New father of twins? Double the pleasure, diapers, formula, toys yikes! Maybe... but not likely.
Where do you go after Michigan? Leave Coaching, retire, become an AD.
Anyone know what's up at Concordia Irvine? Crap team but nice area...
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
