First of all when i speak about 'high end aerobic runs', i'm talking about what guys like JK and Malmo refer to, not the harder type of tempos ala Jack Daniels. JK and Malmo have both said that the intensity of these type of runs allows them to be repeated frequently-theoretically you could do them 5 times a week or so. I've also read that both Hicham and Coe did 5-6 of these runs a week.
I have two questions.
1. obviously both high mileage and more high end aerobic runs would be ideal, but lets say i have to choose one for my following base, which should i choose and why? More high end aerobic runs or more mileage?
2. The PAAVO method has no true recovery runs, just CTs. Would these CTs be referred to as high end aerobic runs or would they be more anearobic?
