Forget for just one second that Geb lost the race and look at the facts:
He ran practically the whole race out in front.
He ran the total 10k in a championship race in under 27 minutes, with the last 5k in under 13 and did so leading all the way until the final 200m.
Bekele was able to hang with Geb's very best and still had another gear in reserve.
