The Democrats were hoping it was a right wing tea partier. The Republicans were hoping it was a towl head.
...and instead we got a mix. One devout muslim, one mild muslim, both in the country for a while and assimilated. Sounds like the dead guy was the instigator - he says he was devout. The younger, living one was just following. He doesn't seem religious much.

Anyone who follows world events knew this was going to find it's way towards a muslim.

A mix? Really... Is the youngest one who is the Tea Partier?
Or do you try to get away from the fact that these are two radical muslims?
One of them was also a lifeguard, If you substitute lifeguard for Muslim, you will realize just how foolish the argument is. Being a Muslim has no correlation to being a terrorist. Same with being a lifeguard.

Oh, dear God...
Please tell me you are being sarcastic. If not, I have no words.
If any of you guys read Reddit, there was a massive circlejerk (typical reddit) going after they believed they had 'discovered' that the second bomber was Sunil Tripathi. Lots of congratulatory backslapping and gloating over beating the MSM to the punch. A bunch of a$$holes started spamming his family's facebook page (that they had set up to help find him) and his name was trending all over twitter as a suspect.
Whoops. Turns out internet vigilantism isn't always so well advised when people are assessing guilt on the basis of grainy photos and wild speculation. Turns out they just smeared a guy who has gone missing and insulted his family.
really, civilians should be more afraid of militant right wingers than of islamic terrorists:
From 2002 to 2007, only nine right-wing extremists were indicted for their roles in politically motivated murders and other types of ideologically motivated violent assaults. But between 2008 and 2012, the number mushroomed to 53, according to data collected by the New America Foundation.
Militants linked to al Qaeda or inspired by jihadist ideology have carried out four terrorist attacks in the United States since September 11, which have resulted in 17 deaths. Thirteen of them were in a shooting incident at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009.
By contrast, right-wing extremists have committed at least eight lethal terrorist attacks in the United States that have resulted in the deaths of nine people since 9/11, according to data compiled by the New America Foundation.
The libs are running in all directions now. Lifeguards, Sunil, whatever.
The terrorists are, once again, MUSLIMS. And they've been following the directions of their great leader Mohammed (peace be upon him) who was a much bigger terrorist than these two.
The guilt and the motive is clear. Two MUSLIM perpetrators and their motive is hatred of America and promotion of islam.
What will the liberals in power do to stop muslim terrorism?
I do not know much about these guys but I would consider Muslim extremists to be very far right in their views.

So tell me, why do they almost universally vote for the leftists then?

Seeing the liberals turn red with anger when the terrorists turned out to be muslims was priceless.
You may not be very bright, but I give you credit for having a good imagination. Not one person here reacted in the manner you claim. Any irritation you perceive on the part of liberals stems from having to deal with the flood of cretins to the board. The only posters here consumed by concern over what "type" of terrorists these bombers turned out to be are ignorant, low-functioning shitballs like you. Everyone else merely wants the f*ckers caught so the nightmare can end.
SS: It's Friday. Shouldn't you be in the mosque now?

What did the conservatives in power do to stop muslim terrorism?
They invaded a country that had NOTHING to do with 9/11.
F*ck, enough with this pissing match. I'm simply happy they found the bast*rds that committed this horrible act of terrorism. That doesn't seem to be enough for you though. Instead you're more happy that you can rant, "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!"
Both sides were just hoping it wasn't connected to the fringe parts of their brand of politics, be it right or left. Now we have a half way, kinda home grown, but kinda foreign terrorist attack and that doesnt satisfy either narrative.

It satisfy perfectly the narrative of another MUSLIM attack.
Why are you libs so scared of admitting the obvious?
And what will the liberals in power do to prevent this from happening again?

I have no dog in this fight
that said -
all the people trying to downplay the fact that the terrorists are muslims is a bit annoying, saying things like pointing out they're muslims makes you hateful or ignorant or reenforcing stereotypes.
the fact is - they ARE muslims. draw from that what conclusions you want but they ARE and it is annoying that people try to completely ignore it
And in your world you really believe Monday's attack could have been prevented?
