12.50 per month doesn't sound like a lot, but for BS 'training tips' and like 3 good races a year, it's really a 50 dollar PPV.

Isn't it going to be live on ESPN also?
I think the Robby Andrews record attempt they're referencing is for the 1000. Which should be streamed live for free by the Armory. Sucks they're charging for the Rupp race, though. Would have loved to watch that live.
do they have the rights to the broadcast? if so, the armory can't stream it.
I don't have a problem with paying to watch running, but the idea of paying for a flotrack stream is offputting. It's just some guy sitting in the stands who can't hold the camera still while his buddy reads splits off his watch.
JJ Huddle in Ohio started charging for their track and xc message board it and it was obsolete in 3 weeks.
I checked a couple times later and it would get one post every 2 or 3 months.
waaaaah!!! everything i want - music, sports, movies - should be FREE!!!!
In comments at link, Fenton says archived version will be free, so you are paying to see it live. If you aren't in as big a hurry, watch it free after it happens.
while I think people should pay for content, Flotrack just sucks. They post on twitter ALL THE TIME...mindless shit. Also, their stupid comedy routines suck.

You get 500 channels on cable for $90/month with stuff 24/7, but one channel with a couple of events on a year for $12.50/,month?
I'm an intern at ESPN and we are viewed as gorging the cable customers as we get like $5 per month for ESPN.
And flotrack wants $12.50 per month. lol.'
ESPN $60 per year.
Flotrack $150.

Ummm, last time I looked, Flotrak wasn't a non-profit organization. Did you think they were doing this for fun? Or did you think they were trust fund bitches looking to blow some of their funds?
Flotrack knows they don't have any competitors so they just charge whatever they want.
If you pay month-to-month the charge is even higher at almost 20 bucks. Gotta be f'in kidding me
I have no idea why they think charging will work. Flotrack's main viewers are college kids with no money.
Brazzers charges $89.95 for a year and they have higher quality content...
i'm going to laugh when flotrack goes out of business and then everyone complains about having no coverage. this stuff costs money. are you really comparing the market and amount of resources of ESPN to flotrack? joke.
Espn has like 200 million customers paying 5$ a month, I am pretty sure if flotrack had that kind of following we would pay .10 per month and that would still be too much!

I feel for whoever knows this. Lol
Flotrack is the sort of thing that can make some side dough on subscriptions but can't survive on it. It needs to find a way to sustain itself on advertising money or it will pass.
I like all the stuff Flotrack puts out for free and I'd love to see the Pro videos but I'm never going to pay for it.
I love football too but I'm not going to pay for ESPN Insider or NFL Game Pass either.
These are things I can happily live without and are just not worth the money even though I'm sure I'd enjoy the service they provide.
