We shall see, on the morning of the race.
NXN was totally a xc race you just have no idea what real xc is!
I don't really consider NXN to be the individual nationals.
However, I would consider Sarah Baxter to be the top female runner in the nation so in that sense she would be the national champion.

Let me know when your HS State Meet hoses down the course to get it to the "real" cross country condition, anything prior wasnt "real", just faux x-c??

Sam Wharton will unify the OHS, NXN, and FL titles.
He won the OHS on a DRAGSTRIP, the NXN on a mudpit, and he will complete the triple in San Diego!!
If they really hosed it down and made it muddy that's bull shit.
I would generally think Baxter is the top XC runner. However, Rohrer ran a fabulous race and is a racere, not a time/run alone type. Running 16:53 on that course is no joke. Also, she might have been the only one to run in: 1) shoes; 2) shorts (not spandex partial leggings); and singlet. Not hat, no gloves to shirt under, no leggings, no long-sleeve shirt. Also, she is only a sophomore and this is her first full year of XC (foot injury last year).
I suspect that if you race them on the Midwest course this weekend instead of San Diego, that Rohrer would take Baxter down. [I know Baxter is not racing FL]
Milwaukee forecast: Sunday Rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 38. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
They do
I don't want to touch the Nike/FL debate, but you obviously have not run @ Morley Field. It is a legit CC course that tests all you've got. It has 2 well timed climbs along with constant twists and turns on uneven terrain that never allows you to find a comfort zone. It is not at all a "manicured little road race" as you imply. This is a cross country course that punishes posers and makes you work for your finishing spot. It's as honest a way as any to recognize a champion. Anyone who has run it knows what I mean. Stop hating and get educated.

More likely from horses.

She's not running so that's just conjecture.
Personally I think Baxter would not win at Nationals.
It would be nice to see the 2 meets work out their differences. Having one for teams and the other for individuals a week later would get rid of the disparity and be great.
Jordyn Colter FTW!
Does anybody know what happened to Karlie Garcia?
I also wanted to root for the supermodel from Beverly Hills
but she ran NXN instead. Placed 35th.
Are are you serious?
You are on some kind of hallucinogen if you think Roher is anywhere near Baxter's level.
16:00 SOLO at Mount Sac
16:39 SOLO At 5k Woodward Park(very similar to Balboa)
=BEST XC RUNNER OF ALL TIME
Again she ran this races all by herself and looked like she was running a tempo.
Please don't let your stubborn insistence that Footlocker is better jade your sense of reality. I don't have a preference one way or the other but to deny that Baxter is the undisputed National Champ is due to a HUGE Footlocker Bias. Roher is not even undefeated on the year. She lost a race by 13 seconds to a girl who didn't even qualify for Footlocker Nationals!!
And to J.R.-
Baxter would not only win but would CRUSH the everyone in entered this Saturday. To not give Baxter the credit she deserves is disgusting.

First of all, nobody hosed down anything, ever been to the northwest?
Check out the Emass. races from 2009 I think, at Franklin Park. Nobody complained then, it was much worse than NXN, just run baby, that's xc.

I've run it, all around the pool and up the "CLIMB", you honestly call that little hill a climb? Go to Bowdoin Park in NY or Northfield Mountain in Mass. if you want a climb in a xc race.

I'll take Mcgorty.

Sean McGorty is probably now the best XC runner the south has ever had...if the south ever has a chance at having a boys champion, it is now..last chances we had were Andrew Bumbalough, Sharif Karie, and Alan Webb, but they all came up second place...I personally think there is a 50/50 chance that Cheserek could choke
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
