Nah. He's had one of the most impressive careers of any distance runner in history. Its a shame he never hot an olympic gold, but it doesn't take away from two world golds, three world indoor golds and numerous other medals spanning 12 years.
Not to mention he plans to be back next year, my guess trying to break 27 minutes, and then he'll try at least one marathon. I'm sure if that goes well, he'll be thinking about the Rio Olympics as well. In 2012 he won a world indoor gold, ran 13:07 indoors, broke 13 outdoors, and was 4th in the olympics...that's a great year for most anyone, and is in no way a sign that says he's too old to compete.
