Congratulations Leo and Matthew! You made America proud.
You just know that the drugs testers are going to follow him around until he tests positive. If the Algerian had any sense he would retire now .
as far as i know, american are z dirtiest of all.
Justin gatlin, marion jhons, lagat and on and on.......these guy is simply z best. Congra alegia.
Oh americabs...... Fugut people,

Kiprop ran like a moron. 1st 2 laps run at club level pace and he's at the back. Then gives up at the bell!
..and he lost me a bet
However doped the winner is the Kenyan's could have shared the pace and all run better than they did and most likely dropped him
Kiprop was hurt, give him a break. And I don't think the winner could have lost even if he was boxed in last place until 300 to go. The guy seriously looked like he could make a run at El G's record, at least in the 3:27-8 range. The way he ran away from that field was ridiculous, and if he's doping he better get caught.
Any Youtube experts in here?
I want to upload this race but it says it will take 80 minutes.. never uploaded a video before, is this normal? Seems a bit long.
Maybe I just have shitty internet.

Damn that Marion Jhons
Just to chime in on the drug speculation.
It isn't about numbers.
It is simply the way he moves and looked in comparison to a world class field that were all pressing.
You can't put any stat comparison on that.
If he is juiced there is a very low probability of getting caught.
But I was pretty shocked when Ramzi got caught.
Ben Johnson's positive was fishy because he tested positive for something that he didn't get from his coach or doctor.
I think WADA is going to do a deep scan on the Algerian's sample.
Exactly! Plus the last lap in Daegu (2011) was done in 51.mid by Centrowitz (the winning time being just over a second slower for the entire 1500m compared to this year's race). It didn't look like Makhloufi was so much better than everyone else - it was just that everyone else really sucked (except Leo Manzano). That being said, gotta bring up Ali Saidi-Sief (although that was a decade ago that the Algerian tested positive for nandrolone).I'm super psyched for Leo Manzano, though. Unbelievable comeback - I saw him come up just after 200 to go and hoped against all hope that he'd blow by everyone. I know this sounds really odd, but he's one of my favorite 800m runners.

NBC/YT has been taking down videos extremely fast, many of the Galen Rupp clips were taken down in less than an hour or two so dunno if it's worth the time.
Might be best to do what Datron did and just upload the file to a sharing site where everyone else can download it.
The fifth place finisher, the surprising Norwegian Henrik Ingebrigtsen had a small fashion problem...watch this:

+1000 to the below.Leo is brilliant. I was screaming at my computer for him just like I screamed at the TV for Rupp and Farah. Manzano has worked so hard and has never failed to bounce back from bad performances. He would never get sucked up into one of his bad races, he would come back and show everyone what he is capable of. Leo MF ManzanoOn a side note, durn impressive for Centro considering he had surgery like three months ago :)

What the HELL!?

Big ups to Manzano and Centrowitz, they both ran balls out. Awesome.
Regarding the winner, I can't say I've ever seen a relatively anonymous guy blow the doors off of the entire field in the Olympic 1500 Final so badly that he could coast the last 75 meters to victory. But whatever, I'm happy for our guys. Wouldn't be at all surprised if USA winds up with gold and bronze.
That seems like the likely conclusion. It is a shame, however, that Centrowitz might have to wait a year before Taoufik is exposed as a cheater and he is moved up to the bronze.

"has been the WC" - What?? I'm assuming you mean "World Champion." When was he world champion?? WTF???
Should have been "in the WC". I admit it was poorly written, but settle down.
Big thanks.
Great race by Leo.

I recorded it off my tv with a camera so they can't take it down. Only another hour left!
If the Algerian closed in about 49 high, what the hell did Manzano close in? He was way in the back and managed to pull up on him with only about 5-10m distance. Crazy!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
