Who wears a GPS on a cross course?!? It's a race, not a workout.

NOT IF YOU'RE TEMPOING.

I heard that the regionals course was so flooded that it will take weeks for the water levels to die down. The thing practically starts out in a basin. I guess everyone is going to be swimming off the line.
It drains very well, and regionals is a week and a half off...it will be fine.

What is Geneseo?

I think the major concern regarding the flooding will be for the teams that are tempoing Regionals. Trying to stay in the lactate threshold zone through unusual and unforgiving conditions will prove challenging. Best of luck to SUNY G and Fredonia.
I tempoed the NJAC course with my forerunner 110 which has one of the largest GPS chips you can have in a watch. I hit 5 miles even and I made a wrong turn which shortened the course (very slightly). This was not pre-hurricane either so I believe it's unlikely it was very far off from true distance. I'm not saying that either GPS reading is absolute but I am saying that I'm going to trust the reliable personell at Stockton who have marked an accurate 8k course the past several years.

Compared to Coach Susan's chest I should say quite flat.
"Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end"
well this maybe the end of the alantic region as we know it, the new proposed configuration seems to move teams...it may not be written in stone but it may include shifting sunys from west of rt 380 to the great lakes. it should cut the posts in future threads in half but who is going to get bashed...bates?...change sometimes is not so good
So true. Since the Atlantic Region as we know it is about to end and be split up next year. Shall we discuss which team and individuals were the all time best in the Atlantic region?
Recent Nats team champions from the Atlantic were NYU 07 and Cortland 08. As well as Kosgei being individual champ in 08.
Anyone on these boards from the early 00s or 90s care to comment?
From what I can remember. The past AR men's team and individual champs were (didn't check just going off memory, so could be wrong):
Team Champs: TCNJ 04 05, NYU 06 07, Cortland 08 09, Geneseo 10 11.
Individual Champs: Ted Turner (Geneseo) 04, Matt Dushane (Plattsburg) 05 06, Peter Kosgei (Hamilton) 07 08 09, Lee Berube (Geneseo)10 11.
Not really sure about anything before 04. Looks like both team and individual champs seem to repeat for about 2-3 years before a new team/individual takes over.

SLU won last year.
Also no decisions have been made about regional realignment, and if they do decide to change up regions, it won't be until 2014. Region will stay the same next year.
Ha, my bad. That is true that slu won last year. I've been out of the loop for a few years. Still the region will be split up soon, 2013 or 2014.
