He'll be a hero if he turns the UMD program around. Lots of incentive to stick it out at least until after the Olympics.

Fetzer from Harvard?
Yep, it is official on the UVA website.
Vallmon's kids are going to freakin fly if they run track and field. Dad ran 44.28 and their mom was a 2 time olympian in the 800. Some people have all the luck...
He coached Jessie O'Connell who went to the NCAAs.

Turn the program around? Starting when? He's been coaching there since 2003.
He's had 9 years to turn the program around and hasn't done it. Don't think it's going to change this year.
Hey littlepage, you just lost Phase II donations to the track. Great choice, who knew that harvard had a sprint team. There goes an elite program, what are you thinking?
He was an Asst at a lower level Ivy. Before that an Asst at a lower level SEC school. Prior to that an Asst at a lower level PAC 12. Hell Craig, Craig Lake would have been better. Phase II is no more.

Your football team looks to be pretty good with a FCS coach and your basketball team is much better this year under a coach who came from Washington State, not exactly a basketball power.
Give the guy a chance.
is there f'in anything you dopes like?
Look for a new "Head Cross Country Coach" / Distance Coach.
Craig Littlepage defiinitely sought a different model than VIg, so guys like Powell and Miltenberg were not serious contenders.
Biggist Bone-Head move of the decade. Can't wait to see the asst. coaches. Maybe i will apply, i stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, does that help?
So what do you know that the current team members don't?
"I heard from an athlete there that Littlepage told the team that he is waiting until after the bowl game to begin the search and that the current (male) team members are essentially on their own right now with respect to training."
never mind; he doesn't resemble Valmon one bit

Can we now officially say that not all letsrun rumors are true?
There were three wrong rumors here:
1) Vallmon
2) Miltenberg
3) Not until after Chickfila bowl
all three of those could not have been more wrong.

Really? BIGGEST bone-head move of the DECADE? Ha ha. Come on... Here is what happened; a great institution with a mediocre ACC track program (sporting an ugly black eye) went out and got a very organized guy who is known for his moral character by those he has worked with. He has done well at every stop along the way. The AD knew what he was doing. I am confident he will do a fine job.
Good luck Bryan Fetzer.

By "turn around" I meant get the funding to keep it existing. He doesn't even have to do well with the actual team right now; he just needs to make sure they keep having a team and he'll be liked.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
