Mo's one and only chance at getting gold for the 10k and it blows it. Too bad mon, your only chance is gone. Next year the king Bekele is back and he will lead a 1, 2, 3 sweep with Sihine and this new exciting kid Jeylan.

If Mo Farah wanted your advice he would have asked Brian Sell's wife first.
who is brian sell's wife...Alberto Salazar?
Hey Mr I like to blow guys hard, that was no advice. That was me describing what just happened in the world 10k and what will happen in the Olympic 10k. I guess none of Al sal's " magic" worked after all.
The sad truth for Mo Farah.
the shinester looks finished ( as well as z-man )
there'll have to be a new 3rd string ethiopian & they coud get a sweep
This has got to be one of the biggest chokes in distance running history. Having a 11 race winning streak snapped at the World champs.
he kicked too early. If he'd waited til 300, he could have held on for the win.
Mo looked really depressed in the award ceremony. I blame the media for over-hyping him and placing all that unneccessary pressure on him.
Who were the announcers kidding when they said it was a dream day for him to get silver. In the form he was in, anything short of a gold was a disaster.
Was it Coe or Ovett that said it would be best for him to lose due to the pressure he will then feel in London? Well, they got what they asked for...

I thought it was Cram who said it.
This isn't a ******* choke! Farah got beat fair and square. If you go all out and lose that isn't choking; it's losing.
Since when is getting the #2 spot in the world "choking"...

I still remember, funny one.
This is an utterly stupid thread.

When u r riding on a 11 race winning streak and have the world's best times in the 5k and 10k, u come in second to an unknown Ethiopian. That is called choking.
U look at Farah's expression, he knows he himself choked.
Mo Farah does not want to admit it but he kicked too early. If he had waited until the 400 or even 300 he would have won.I believe he will win the 5000 more easily than that.People do not realise that Mo farah only started compeing in 10000 this season therefore he did really well.He made a small mistake but i think that mistake will help him be a better athlete far much more than a win would have helped him
Jelian is hardly an unknown (if anyone had done their research). Jeilan has PRs of 13:09 & 27:02 and had run 13:09 & 27:09 this season prior to Daegu. He was also a World Junior Champion at 10,000 and at XC.
He also had the 6th fastest 10,000 season's best of all the starters going into Daegu.
To say that Farah choked is just bloody stupid.

I think it was David Bedford who, in addition to being a director for the 2012 Games/London Marathon, had a history of choking in big races himself.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
