Was that the race where Lindsay was ticked because Virgin kept running so slowly in the lead, then fell back, apparently because the pace was too slow for him. I always wondered why didn't he just go in the lead and run faster. But that's why Virgin won the race.
No. This was a bloodbath. Lindsey talked himself into believing he was in the same class as Virgin because he was beating up on nobodies on the roads. Lindsey's best track race was a 28:05 finishing 6th. He had no business trying to stay with Virgin, who hit half way in 13:43, almost identical to Lindsey's PR.
