yeah, it worked for me, and the only pertinent info I gave was my email address.

you = awesome
DON'T KNOW who using different names saying it worked or why he's doing it but it doesn't work without credit card!!
It asked me, but maybe that was because I already had a log-in name and CC on file. It is a recurring monthly subscription. If the site didn't ask for CC info I guess you have nothing to remember.
On a side note I've been sure to remember to cancel these things after the fiasco I went through with Arkansas' site a few years ago. I signed up to watch indoor NCAAs and it was a pain in the ass to get them to stop charging me. They still send several e-mails a day advertising various Razorback events.
Step 1: register, there's a button on the top right.
Step 2: log in
Step 3: hit "annual" instead of monthly
Step 4: enter code FREEMONTH10
It won't ask for a cc #.

Make sure you use the coupon code FREEMONTH10
When you apply that, it turns the $14.95 option listed to "$0.00"
Click that (NOT the $9.95, even if that's what you had already picked prior to activating the coupon) and proceed. All I did was give an email address and a birth date and I'm now watching for free. No credit card info whatsoever.
it still asks for credit card
I got in without paying but when I click on Watch for the Stanford meet on May 1st, its says the media you have selected is currently unavailable. Anybody else get this message?
I cant find it on CBS Sports. LINK?
I got it to work without having to enter a credit card. After I first registerd I got the "enter credit card info screen". I then switched to the playlist tab. I then switched back to looking at the live events and selected the meet. It told me I needed to pay again and gave me the meet option and the monthly option. I didn't select either and just entered the code and entered apply code. It let me in. The first time I tried to start the stream it told me the event wasn't available. I went back into the live events list again, selected it again and this time the stream started without problem. Watching it right now!
I'm also getting the unavailable message. The video won't play.
you can't use google chrome either. use firefox or ie
well it's working for me with chrome. the whole process just took some trial and error
why does it keep asking to upgrade to silverlight
I'm using a MAC.....help
best approach is to start at www.gostanford.com, follow the link to CBS sports from there.

Thanks so much!
you can use silverlight on a mac. just download it. takes a minute
I've downloaded, restarted the computer and still nothing
thanks
what browser are you using? i am using firefox and it is fine
Try this to see what version of silverlight you have:
http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx
You can also check the system requirements to see if your browser is compatible with silverlight (IE 64-bit is not, for example).
