Solid workout for Rupp.
That adds Blankenship to the sub 4:00 list of alumni from Stillwater High School in Minnesota with Luke and Jake Watson and Sean Graham. 4 ties Eugene South for most ever.

Actually Stillwater HS, MN is all alone with its 4 sub 4:00 US milers, improving its own record of 3. Next best are eight high schools that have produced 2, including South Eugene OR.
On the combined list of sub-4 and sub 3:42.23 (1500m sub 4:00 equivalent for stat purposes) Stillwater is now tied for the lead with South Eugene HS OR and Klein HS TX at 4 each.
Is that not a PR for Acosta?
4 sub 4 US milers out of one HS, now that is impressive. Major congratulations to Stillwater. And to Blankenship of course, because it's no easier for him just because team mates have done it.

He got 3rd in a race with college kids.
3RD. And people expect him to be some sort of world class athlete

3rd in 3:58...after he ran and won a 1:50 800 two events earlier.
Learn how to quote properly you tool.
150 = 4:00 mile
Bekele, Lagat, Kipchoge and so on all close in 3:58 or faster after running 8400m at 4:15 pace
He would have had about 20 minutes between events--two sections of the women's mile and one prior section of the men's mile.

the 800m was AFTER the one mile. He got 3rd in the mile and then awhile later ran 1:50 FTW

Yeah...Lagat runs all of his 10,000m races that way. Both he and Teg.
And isn't it more like 1:52 = 4:00?
