Ran an easy 10 miler without a shirt (to work on my tan). About 70 degrees outside at 10 am. Beautiful sunny day in So Cal.
How was your run ??

What run?
Easy 9 in pretty good January weather for NYC - close to 40F. Felt great: nothing better than a run to clear the head after too much drink and too little sleep. Will sneak in another ~6 later to start the year on the right foot.
Haven't run (yet).
0 today, -20 with the windchill.
Ran .3 miles on trail before I had to walk back due to sesamoiditis that won't go away. Hopefully the rest of the decade goes better than today!
Ran 14 miles along the Cape Cod Canal in about a half inch of crisp snow, in the dark at about 6 am with the moon still somewhat full. No wind, water calm like glass, huge loaded barges being tugged along. From Scusset Beach to Buzzards Bay I treked, past the power plant, the Sagamore and Bourne bridges to the railroad trestle and back. Calmly, peacefully enjoying my modest pace. Great way to kick off 2/10!
Easy 6 in the snow. One of those days where it just feels a lot longer than it is. Run was dragging even though I felt fine. Had to go slower due to sloppy footing. On the bright side, the quad is feeling better!
Ran for 3 miles on the icy roads so did not even bother wearing a watch. First run in approx 4 months and the start of (another) comeback.
OP - where in SoCal are you from. Thinking of relocating to SD and if your from there was going to shoot you some questions.

I am in Orange County, about an hour north of SD. SD is a great area but it is a very big county with much variety. Lots of great areas with beautiful coastlines and trails but depends on where you are. Many great races there as well - Carlsbad 5000, AFC half marathon, among many others. Where in SD are you looking ??
Wet and muddy.
10 mile tempo in 51:36

still hungover from last night, hopefully will run when I'm fully recovered
Around B’ville and Tuckahoe, after yesterday’s light snow. Sticking to roads. High 30s. Just a watch, and very tired at about 15 min. but stuck with it and let the run come to me (a phrase I came up with during the run) as opposed to the quicker runs, such as Tuesday’s. But still a solid 6:51 pace, feeling very easy. 1:00:19. 8.8 miles.
10 x 300m hills fast with jog down recovery.
Then 4 x 60m steep hill sprints with 30sec recovery.
Coach tried to push us really hard even though its new years day and other normal people are getting over the parties.
Is this how tough 2010 is going to be?
I also ran 10, but on the treadmill.
The real purpose of this thread was for the OP to gloat about how nice the weather is where he is when he knows it sucks everywhere else.

Who needs a tan when you have mud?
Crisp 6 miler, on rolling course in 40 degree temps...Last mile 6:21.
32 minute run.
12 miles with wind and snow blowing in my face along Lake Michigan. It felt fantastic.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
