They should call themselves the Impotent Association of Athletics Federations because they have got less balls than Semenya. The whole way the situation is being handled is a farce.

No, it actually is not a farce.
The situation is fairly unprecedented, not in that men have ever competed as women before...but that this individual is so young, from an impoverished tribe etc.
As to the leaks to the press. Well that happens in every, and I mean every big story. It only takes one person to leak things out, and that one person can betray any whole organization.
As to the IAAF's "balls," they should have had the balls to tell ASA that they would not allow Semenya to enter the WC's unless she passed a sex test.
The details are starting to come out, through leaks in S.A., that Semenya was tested, did not test female, the ASA officials swept it under their rugs in their lust for money, and a champion.
And, as to "poor little Caster," as so many press outlets have referred to Caster...
You know, one would think since she has had this problem before that she would know something was up.
How ignorant are her people? A tribe that probably has rituals etc. around rites of passage like puberty and onset of mentruation.
How unintelligent would Caster have to be to not know something was up.
Lastly, "poor little Caster" ???
I would have more empathy for her if she had not stood there before the call the the line of the 800 finals, flat on her feet, knowing there was no way the women in the race could win. I might have more empathy if she did not clown around like a, like a...well like a ahole of a dude after the race.
Flexing man muscles??? Just not sportsman, or sportswoman-like. And really pathetic.
The whole thing is a disgrace, and when the story comes out in fool, 99% of that disgrace will lie in S.A. official's actions. And 1% in the person in or around the IAAF that leaked info out.
If it is not a lone source making the leaks, if it is a conscious act by someone in the IAAF, you can bet they are leaking the info in revenge for ASA lying to them about the results of Casters sex test in S.A.
The whole thing stinks, and it is bad for the sport.
I wish S.A. had done their due diligence, or that IAAF had not let Semenya run in the first place.
The early press sentiment was "poor Semenya, let's not be unfair to her," now the press is starting to swing the other way and go "oh, what about the 60 other women in the event...what about maintaining a level playing field?"
Finally, I can't help but believe on some level Semenya knows that she/he was getting one over on the world...and just did not care.
I don't buy the fact that she is some poor victim of an 18 year old girl. She may have been raised as female due to unfortunate circumstances, but she was forced to play on an all boys soccer/football team because girls did not want Semenya on their team. This issue has followed her around for a while. Semenya has to have wondered at some time or another why she was different, known she was different, and sensed her advantage over the other women...you know the women she could see in the locker room with...actual mammary glands.
While Semenya's "intersex" condition can been seen as tragic, or unfortunate... That doesn't mean Semenya should get to compete as a female.
The ultimate issue is to resolve the situation in a way that is Fair For The Most People Possible. And if that means that Semenya is banned, then that is just too bad.
Common sense must prevail. S.A. knocked this into the world stage, and ultimately they will be found responsible for the greatest negatives in the story.
Dude, your post really lacked logic and clear thinking... you changed your mind every couple of paragraphs. That being said, I do agree with a lot of what you said.
But I mainly Agree with the OP. The buck ultimately stops with the IAAF and should have better communication channels in place with the national bodies.
Off topic a bit but what is up with South African's having eligibility problems. Pistorious and Semenya. Imagine Semenya not only had nads but also fake legs. Can we find another issue so we have a trifecta?
