I want to increase my mileage a lot but I also need to loose my overweight seen from a running perspective.
Is it ok to loose weight at the same time that you increase mileage by a lot, or will that make you burn out or something similar?

It's amazing to me how many LRers can't distinguish 'loose' from 'lose.'
To answer your question though, I think it really depends on what mileage you're currently at. If you're running 30-40 mpw right now, I don't think it will be a problem to ramp it up a bit and maintain your diet where it's at (leading to weight loss); that said, if you're at 70 mpw, then it would probably be problematic and very possibly result in injury.
Not everyones mothertongue is english.
Why would the chance of injury increase and what sort of injury are we talking about?stress fracture?
As you increase mileage, you will lose fat and put on some muscle so it might balance out to a certain extent, all things being equal. I would be more concerned with your percentage body fat than your actual overall weight. Tanita has a line of bathroom scales which show body fat %. I found that useful when I was increasing my mileage recently but the weight didnt seem to be falling as fast as I thought it should. However, my body fat was dropping nicely indicating an increase in muscle as well as fat.
Don't restrict your diet too much while going through an important training phase. Be smart about what you're doing, and you should be okay.
I want to bump my mileage from about 40mpw to roughly 60-70. Furthermore I would like to lose/loose around 15-20 pounds.
What's the best way to do that? I want to combine both in the best way. I'm thinking about going to 50mpw and then drop weight for some weeks and when that's done start to bump mileage again?
anyone?
You're sweating that weight issue too much. Assuming you continue to eat a normal healthy diet, you will lose weight as your mileage increases. Again, I would keep a sharper eye on the % body fat and use that as a measure rather than total weight. You need calories to support bigger mileage otherwise it cant be done. Its a mistake to go on a diet and increase mileage greatly at the same time. Lots of bad stuff can happen. "In Fitness and in Health" by Dr. Phil Maffetone has a lot of good info.

No one can give you specific advice based on what you've listed.
For all we know, you've been running for two days, never exceeded 40mpw, and weigh 800 pounds.
in a little over a month, I've lost almost 20 lbs. 5'11" 165 lbs to begin with, ~147ish now. I don't feel my training or energy levels have suffered at all.
Stop eating processed foods (i.e., candy, chips, cookies, anything in the snack aisle at the grocery store)
Never eat till you're full
Eat healthier snacks (i.e., fruits & vegetables)
Lift weights
Run doubles

yes, but what about the whole 'I only get to do this whole life thing once and would like to enjoy myself' thing?
you're right. Everyone who eats like they're supposed to is a miserable human being.
I have no problem eating an apple as a snack
Stuffing myself every time I eat isn't necessary
I'm not saying I never drink a beer, never eat a cookie, etc., I just won't grab a handful or eat an entire bag like I used to.
