1-0 on the road in World Cup qualifying...3 points..One step closer to WC 2010!
Didn't play well again, but on the road, i'll take it!

They looked like shit for about 80% of the game. Bradley needs to go if 1) the team can't play better and 2) if he continues to dress for matches like a player-coach.
I did not see the game, but it is a important road win. They are now almost certain to make the next World Cup.
Now it is time for some of the secondary players to show that they are good enough for the team.
I think Adu may make the team.
The guy who scored, Clark, has two Trinidadian parents.

It's been 20 years since Paul Caligiuri took us back to the World Cup with a one-goal win in Port of Spain. You'd think we'd be past squeaking by an impoverished island nation of 1 million people by now.
Yes, I realize that qualifiers are gritty, that it's never easy to win on the road, etc. It's still disappointing.
No World Cup qualifier anywhere in the world is easy. There is a chance that Argentina may not qualify this year!
Good point. You know George Washington's parents were foreign. He should not be considered a real American.

Also huge was El Salvador's upset of Costa Rica. Even if CR wins their next game and we lose ours, we will still qualify with just a draw in the finale with Costa Rica, which is a home game for us.

Are you high? Secondary players? They need to win in Honduras or they will most likely be heading into the last game in third place. You do realize that to beat Honduras in Honduras they will have to play their best game of the tournament to date. Besides today's win at T And T, US' road games have resulted in a loss to Costa Rica, loss to Mexico, and a tie with El Savador. Now they face Honduras, the most physical team in the final bracket with its two 6 foot+ strickers Costly and Pavon. Onyewu better bring his A game because I can't think of anyone else who can match up with these two Honduran strikers. And the stadium is gonna be nuts.
I brought it up as an interesting fact, not as a knock on Clark. He's as American as any other, and probably more than most because he had the balls to go to the land of his ancestors and kill a nation's dream.
Great win for U.S. Soccer. Also huge was El Salvador's win against Costa Rica. The U.S. only needs a tie at home to be assured of the win. Personally after conceding early home games in our last two qualifiers I hope we can somehow manage to qualify on Matchday 9. There are numerous scenarios that can lead to this.
I wonder if Adu will even make the team. Adu's status on the team has definitively fallen.
Adu still has a chance if he can actually get minutes with his club team. If he can't get minutes he has no chance.
He has not played well in his most recent National team performances. He also is in perhaps the most competitive postion competing with Dempsey and Donovan for playing time along with a host of subs.
Adu would have been better off in the MLS. The competition would not be as good but at least he would be in game condition. The guy that scored last night for the US is a MLS player.
Bradley has stated he has been concerned with the conditioning of some the national team players sitting on the bench with various elite European clubs.
Soccer players like distance runners get out of condition very quickly if they are not active.
nothing is HUGE comparing to us(Brazil), 5 titles, 8 fials, qualify to all world cups...put this way, if Brazil plays with his women team he may beat US men team. Good luck at the World cup anyway.
Of the 24 matches played in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying, the road team has only won 3 times: Costa Rica @ Trinidad, Mexico @ Costa Rica, and US @ Trinidad. Any road win is big win.
Any one with a knowledgeable opinion on what's going on with the Argentines? They're most likely going to be playing for their lives (maybe literally...) on 10/14. Hard to imagine a world cup without them in the quarter finals let alone without them there at all.
ARGENTINIANS ARE......MARICONES!!
We beat the Number 1 team in the world this year and you are calling for Bradley to be fired. Ridiculous.
