Next time how about instead of being tourists you just let someone else who's more willing to focus on this race take your team spot?

sounds like someone needs to call the whaaaaaambulance.
i think those guys did fine. rickey raced to place high and faded late, timmay! had trouble getting his wheelchair over the rocks as his enormous head kept throwing it off balance.
oh, timmy parr? yea, that guy. The winner of pikes peak ascent, then leadville...then he ran worlds? on his own dime, too, right?
you sounds like a bitter coward.
where did you finish in the qualifying races?
Rickey Gates is a deer?
Doe- a deer, a female deer
Ray- a drop of golden sun
Me- a name i call myself
Far- a long long way to run
Sew- a needle pulling thread
La- a note to follow so
Tea- a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to do oh oh oh
Do
A deer, a female deer
Doe- a deer, a female deer
Ray- a drop of golden sun
Me- a name i call myself
Far- a long long way to run

You need to clean the poo out of your ears, then, because you're hearing CRAP! Why would you make this about me, you insecure little fuck?

Yea, c***trunk, I'll pull out the q-tips, when you grab the listerine and clean the shitt your talking out of your mouth.
You failed to answer the question, hater.
Because it's a STUPID QUESTION, cuntface! It's got nothing to do with the subject at hand. You failed to have even a single clue to begin with. This thread is about people who accept national team spots yet act like it means nothing. Start your own thread for whatever goofy questions you have rattling around inside your empty head.
Keep it real.
You called them out. I called you out.
Who acted like it meant nothing to them?
Gates went for it.
Parr EARNED his spot. EARNED IT. WON A QUALIFIER.
I dont care if he went to worlds and walked.
HE EARNED HIS SPOT
Keep it real.
Just to add, this was the most competitive year in the history of mountain running, the americans did what they could, I mean losing to France kinda hurts but they were 6th, thats pretty damn solid
Hey effing hack if you want to run the world mnt champs I have a great idea. Beat Ricky and Timmy at one of the qualifying races, that way you can worry about YOUR race and not how they did. Go train harder.
Deer??? Really? Deer? You're gonna stick with that one? It's a little difficult to take your criticism of Gates and Parr too seriously when you come across as such a raging moron. Good luck with all future unfounded rants...
I haven't done anything (that you'd know of) to be called out on. You're just being contrary.
Sorry if it hurts to see your heroes or boyfriends taken to task, but these two are the WMRC equivalents of Torres and Jenkins at WC in Berlin.
Mountain Running has some tough Critics! They finished 47th and 48th out of 138 finishers, yea that may be a little out of the medals but to say they "stunk it up" and should have stayed home seems a little out of line and I agree with the OP, you don't think they should have made the team? Then go out there and Beat them next time.
They should've been leading the team. Those two got beat by a kid in college!
Im not saying they had the best of days, but I think the criticism on this board also isn't warranted. Its not like they DNS'd or anything, then you would have a point to saying don't show up if your not ready to roll. Losing to a guy in college isnt really that big of a deal either.
Anyone find the full results? All I could locate on the website was just the top 5.
Thanks!
apparently the junior mens team had an illness going around, so perhaps some of the senior men may have been affected?
awesome job on the part of the two young guns who led the mens senior team though, I dont think its the fact the older athletes did bad but that they stepped it up
anyone know where worlds is next year?
Rickey is 28. Timmy is 27. It's not like they are ancient. And, while this was indeed the World Championships, it must be noted that Rickey finished 5th at Sierre-Zinal last month in the fastest American time in years. Sierre-Zinal is arguably the deepest, most competitive mountain race in the world in that it draws talent from the broadest range of disciplines. Plus, there's prize money...
