I just moved to Tokyo and need to find a physical therapist to help with running-induced knee problems, especially the IT band. Anyone have info on where to go?
Thanks,
Jeremy

You come see me, I give you good massage. Just like you big GIs like. I loosen your it band. Then you give me money and go away, OK GI?
Take the subway to Ikebukuro. There's drove of college educated English speaking Russian/Israeli/Ukranian/Polish/Romanian/etc. hotties working the streets and bars there. They enter on 90 day Tourist Visas, do their business for 90 days, then go home with a huge amount of cash.
Seriously. Actually looking for a medical pro to help correct my running form and get me over this injury. Please no more nonsense replies.
ok ok, enough tasteless "jokes". Can someone help out this runner in need?
My reply is not a joke. Go to Ikebukuro and see. I go there to Kinko's quite often to make copies. White working girls also flood Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sendai, etc.
Still no serious replies? I am also a runner in Japan with injuries and would appreciate some pointers.
Here's information from the website of Namban Rengo, Tokyo's international running club. Hope it proves useful.
thanx!!Finally a serious reply.
Hey that website of the international running club in Tokyo has good info on it. Thanks for the link!

Jeremy, If you are willing to ride the JR a bit out to Chiba-ken, I know of a great clinic about 200 meters from the JR Sakura station. I think that it's called the Nishikawa Clinic, and they have an entire floor of their building devoted to physical therapy.
I've been there 2-3 times for stim/ultrasound. Their prices are very reasonable.
Take the east exit of JR Sakura, look for a 7-11. Behind the 7-11 you'll see a 5 or 6 story building. That's it.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I wish you well.
Jason
Thanks a bunch, Jason!
You are quite welcome Jeremy, I wish you all the best.
The therapists at the Nishikawa clinic in Sakura-shi are young, energetic and friendly. You'll do well there.
Take the sobu line from Tokyo station. It's about an hour on the Rapid service line.
Jason
Hi there,
Do we have a web address for the clinic in Chiba?
Thanks!
Bob
Hi Jeremy,
Bob here, leader of Namban Rengo.
The two best clinics, English speaking but a bit pricey, are Tokyo Physio and the new Club 360. For injuries, I recommend Tokyo Physio.
Come run with us on Wednesday nights.
