I demand to see the #1 USC Trojans play the #2 Boise State Broncos in the NCAA DI-A National Title game. Anyone else ?

So Cal / Boise St would be the likely outcome this year of a playoff brackets, but the SEC, Big 10, and Big 12 voted down the playoffs since they are are afraid given they are weak conferences and in need the phony handicap points that the SOS gives them. NCAA DI-A is the only NCAA sport without an NCAA championship. The BCS (Beauty Contest System) is bogus.
Of course. Everybody knows that a team who beats Oregon and a bunch of teams in the WAC is better than the #1 SEC team.
The SEC knows that's why they dodge the WAC by voting against an NCAA D1A brackets. It's called cowardice.

LOL yeah bring that act to the SEC every week. Nice trolling attempt- it worked!
That would be the matchup for the game of all time.
The New York media companies run the AP, CNN polls, and the BCS. The voters are paid employees of the media companies. Not exactly credible.
Hey, Crusade against Islam guy, I'd much rather see the Boise State Broncos play the Denver Broncos. It would be a much better game.
Please don't hate yourself any further. Sell your Nazi war medal collection on eBay. Have some pride in being a Jew.
I think Boise State just screwed themselves with their over the top, just off the farm, never been there attitudes when they played Oregon this weekend. I can still see that smirking grin of Hout's just before he got decked.
Boise, Fresno, SDSU are fiece rivals of each other and of PAC-10 schools. Every game in the WAC, MWC, and PAC-10 is a rivalry. There are NO easy games. Every play is your chance for payback for when you got your ass whipped years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes before. As with all rivalries, you can win any game, you can get beat any game. The sportswriters and polls don't mean shit. The coaches all know each other, the players all know each other, the parents in the stands all know each other. Many families have kids playing on both teams. Generations of families play football. Sons, cousins, dads, uncles, homies. Nobody forgets what happens at college games until the day they die. The players are local rivals from LAUSD, CIF, Bay Area, Dago, SLO, etc. In the gyms and clubs they all run into each other and talk shit even in their 40's, 50's.... Football is for life on the west coast.
So, Have you ever been to a college game in the South? Georgia fans still taunt Florida fans with "run Lindsay run" and that was nearly 30 years ago.

Your statement does not apply to the over 100 year tradition of college football in the west, the toughest and best football in the U.S.A.
Remember when people said the same thing about undefeated WAC member Hawaii a couple years ago...and then they got DEMOLISHED by none other than the SEC's #2 team in UGA 41-10. Boise State was OK once when they beat Oklahoma on a trick play.
Let's at least see how a few more games go before we make any judgments. I'm sure they'll have a tough time defeating every one of the TWELVE unranked teams they play this year. I say neither USC or Boise State end up coming close anyway.
Hate to say it, but Florida will be in the mix again and will probably end up destroying yet another Big 10 or Big XII team in the title game.
Look at this schedule:
Thu, Sep 03 Oregon
Sat, Sep 12 Miami (OH)
Fri, Sep 18 Fresno State
Sat, Sep 26 Bowling Green
Sat, Oct 03 UC Davis
Wed, Oct 14 Tulsa
Sat, Oct 24 Hawai'i *
Sat, Oct 31 San Jose State *
Fri, Nov 06 Louisiana Tech
Sat, Nov 14 Idaho *
Fri, Nov 20 Utah State *
Fri, Nov 27 Nevada *
Sat, Dec 05 New Mexico State *
* Conference Games
They do not deserve a shot at a title. Compare this schedule with a Big 12 or SEC schedule and, even with 2 loses, a team in those conferences should get a bid before Boise State.
They do have one of the better punchers in college football though.
It doesn't matter what conference to the east of the Western schools a team is in. They aren't that good except to their own New York based AP/CNN poll and BCS. The New Yok media companies have their own profit motive at stake. They fabricate the performances of teams. The voters who vote in the polls are paid employees of the media companies, who have bosses they have to obey. Thus the polls and BCS is a sham, and the results are invalid.
Bowl games cannot be counted as a valid measure of quality of play given that in any sport, including college football, having a full month off with no competitions renders a team ineffective. Add to that the drunken holiday parties with drugs, beer, pizzas, ribs, burgers, hard liquor, cocaine, marijuana, and coeds.
Consequently any bowl game results, be it Oklahoma's loss to USC a few years back, Hawaii's loss to Georgia last year, and the PAC-10's five victories over the weaker east/mid/south, are only 'suggestive' and far from a 'confirmation' of domination either which way.
The only way to determine a true NCAA D1-A National Champion, is the have a playoff bracket commence no later than 2 weeks after the end of the conference season. When the college kids are still sharp, in shape, within weight, sober, and clear of illegal drugs.
maybe one of the better guys at taking punches..... i didn't see any boise guys throwing hay makers.
Very true! I got it backwards
Or maybe USC should stop losing to such crappy programs like Stanford and Oregon State??
O the great west coast....
they have a real good video on Boise State on youtube its called "Out of the Blue" even if you are not a Boise State fan it is real good and a must see for any sports fan.... its about their Feista Bowl victory against OU and the trials and tribulations leading up to the victory. I was lucky enuff to have watched the game live, I had seats about 15 rows up on about the 10 yard line of the end zone they scored the Statue of Liberty play for the victory. Being from neighboring Montana and an former OSU Cowboy I was for Boise State, but I had to sit in the OU section as these were the tickets my former OSU teammate had scored us(he's from Oklahoma had some connections) so I kept my cheering to a minimum....I did wonder as I sat on the other side of the stadium and saw all that Blue and orange, just who the hell turned off the lights when they left Idaho as damn near the whole state of Idaho seemed to be at this game......
