Oregon has surely gotten many more medals than that, I mean it's the track capital of the US. Right? I'm sure they at least have more than the lazy and unproductive athletes based in Southern California. Right?
You are an illiterate tool.

Stop lying. Symmonds, Rupp, Solinski, Ritzenhein, Yurkovich, etc. flew to Beijing on the way home to pick up their medals at Nike HQ. Plus the Texas queres who medalled in Berlin are all dopers.
Hey loser, how many medals did you win ?
So what if we won zero medals were won in Beijing and Berlin.
We have Nike.

The contributions that UO, Eugene, and Portland have made to track and field reverberate around the world each day as atheletes strive to be the best. All track and field athletes are Oregonians in spirit and in heart. The people and the culture of Oregon supports and represents all track and field athletes the world over.
Fact:
Phil Knight is a former runner / track guy.
He has a true appreciation for track and field.
Nike has funded, by far, more track and field athletes and runners around the world - than any other company in history.
Did you see how many countries Nike sponsored at Worlds?
There is no way they are making money off of all of them.
It is a case of Phil and company continuing to funnel money back into the sport they love -- something Nike did almost from the start - even at times when they were on the ropes financially.
Nike rocks.
PK has done a great job.
With only one medal from 2007 Osaka (awarded to New York City kid), zero medals from 2008 Beijing, and zero medals from 2009 Berlin, there is no doubt in my mind that Oregonians have not lived up to the minimal expectations that PK/Nike (and even Adidas USA in Portland) have set forth. Heads will certainly roll. Blood will fill the gutters of Beaverton and Eugene soon.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
