5k: 12:29
why do you think salazar would make him that much better?
12:55
26:40
Considering that his runners fail to come through on the big stage then I would say he would be slower.
Interesting topic that brings up another question. How fast would Rupp, Ritz, Kara, or even Webb run with Bekele's coach?!?
Or better yet, how fast would Rupp be if he grew up in Ethiopia?
5K would be in the lows 13s and 10K would be in the mid 27s.
No the best question: if males could mate, how fast would Rupp be if Bekele and Geb had a baby? Especially if they honeymooned at altitude?
this would imply that ritz could run 26 teens and mid 12:40ish if he were coached by bekele's coach. no effin' way.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard bekele has been coaching himself for the last two years.
Once he got treated for his thyroid condition and his asthma, he would be able to run alot faster.
most of you are a bunch of frickin idiots.
don't you people have lives, or better selves??
don't worry i know it is a rhetorical question.
this question assumes salazar is better coach than bekele's coach, which is not a given.
I'm going to say right around 13.07

or more better grammar?
How would Bekele be better under Salazar when much of what Salazar does is effectively co opting Bekele's training techniques? The Ethiopians have been training at altitude for thousands of years while American runners are going to Salazar because his focus on altitude training is something relatively new and eccentric.
Slower
Completely unrelated:
Duck in the chicken, just put yourself in a turkey and you'll have a beautiful turducken. Wrap them all in bacon, and you have a great midwestern heart attack.
Sorry for the digression. Anyway, I say he'd run slower. Bekele's running has nothing to do with the TONS of money pumped into Salazar's program. It's pure devotion, national support and pride. They all work the same amount. Obviously, it takes something more. I sure don't have it. Unfortunately, Ritz and Rupp don't have it either. Wasted money in my opinion, considering.
Salazar has it wrong, live high, train low
