I know he is still awesome, but he has definitely lost a step. Now that he is back with Clyde Hart will he ever be back on top? Or will Merritt continue to dominate?

look at his relayamazing it shows that hes getting stressed by merrit like asafa does with bolt, so just phycolgical stuff..
But in two years it will be both being afraid of bolt, lodon 2012
1) bolt 42,13
2) merrit 43,32
3) wariner 1:43:58 (move up to 800 LOL)
jw is still 2 in world in a very popular event , I COULD HANDLE THAT- HIS LACKLUSTER TIMES IN THE 200 SHOW - not enuff pure speed to beat fast BROS like MJ and MERRITT.
He's VERY close to the top...
Eh, he is #2 in the world, which is DAMN good, but he's been running 44.0 or faster pretty much every year since 2004. His times this year have not been good relative to past years. Overtraining possibly? This happens sometimes when athletes get knocked off their high horse, or when they get a little too motivated.
He seems like a bit of douche, but I wish him well.
I was thinking that he picked up Hart during the season. Maybe a lot of the pre-season strength and speed training under Hart was missing so there was only so much improvement that could be made up during the racing season. He wasn't as fast as past years, so it's more of Wariner being slower rather than Merritt being a lot faster this season.
He may not get back on top, but he will challenge. He made a huge mistake in leaving his coach over a monetary dispute. Since trying to pinch those pennies and screw over Hart, he has lost much more than he ever saved as Merritt has become #1 and thus commands the #1 money Wariner used to. It is a good lesson to be learned for him and for future athletes. The grass isn't always greener on the other side and you should always dance with who brung ya!
Wariner can't run an 800 and Bolt can't run a 400
give up the f***ing game
He ran a great relay split.
Trevor Graham's inspired Bolt couldn't run a 400...
Not as much money in it.
bolt = 45.x without specific training. period.
Who cares if Bolt can run a 400? That wasn't the question and it has no relevance to this topic until he decides to run the 400. But since we're now on the topic of Bolt, I'd like to see him move up to the 400 and get beat. Maybe he wouldn't act like such a douche if he lost every once in a while...
He will make it back to the top he just was away from Hart to long. Give him to next year and he will be back on track. He has more talent than Merrit although not much more. Bolt would be an interesting addition just because hes a freak of nature who knows what he can do in the event.
Maybe he was doping but stopped?

He just needs a full year under Hart's training, which he hasn't had since '07. He didn't go back to Hart until May, which was far too late this year to get 'all the way back'. He'll be fine. Merritt has probably topped out, with his added musculature probably not helping in the long run.
the way he ran the 2nd half of that 4x4 relay yesterday, he should think of moving up just for a race or 2 with borza style tactics.
