Hey all, so I have been signed up to do an Ironman at the end of August (more pushed into it by people at work, I'm not paying for it). I think I can finish the thing but that is about my only goal. I also am signed up for the Chicago Marathon where I was able to get into the Top 100 coral. Is there any possible way I can be semi-recovered by the marathon? Will anything help speed recovery? I was planning on having a super easy week following the Ironman and then that gives me about 4 weeks of training and 1 week of backing off. Obviously my time won't be quite what I was hoping in the marathon but I don't want to be in the Top 100 and embarass myself.
